The Cameroon General Certificate of Education, GCE, begins in less than three weeks, but out-station allowances of last year’s Ordinary Level examiners are yet to be paid. The GCE Board Registrar, Dominic Akuh Dang, has continued to ignore complaints by the disgruntled markers and examiners about non-payment of their allowances nearly one year since they marked the exam. “The GCE board is still to pay the out-station allowance for Ordinary Level examiners after 10 months since we marked,” a GCE 2022 marker complained.

A coalition of rights activists from over 128 countries across the globe – Every Woman Treaty – has picked holes in the current framework governing the cause to end violence against women. Three years after the Ngarbuh massacre in Cameroon’s North West region, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Belgium say authorities need to speed up the process of serving justice. “Today is the third anniversary of the killing of 21 civilians, including 13 children, at Ngarbuh in Northwest Cameroon. According to information reaching the editorial desk of Fako Promote, the car of his 4th wife who was part of the convoy had a serious accident.
