An orphaned Baby chimpanzee ‘Bakossi,’ that was rescued in the Bakossi National Park near the Bayang-Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary, BMWS, Bangem Sub Division, Kupe Muanenguba Division is reportedly faring well. The Ultimate learnt that the baby chimpanzee was kept illegally by a farmer around the Bakossi National Park. She is the first infant chimpanzee the wildlife has received for a long time. Women from East, South, Center and South West Regions of Cameroon, (Tombel, Batchenga, Mbana, Campo) have demanded justice on climate change and environmental disasters given their role as custodians of nature and caregivers of their communities.
