The Senior Divisional Officer of Kupe Muanenguba, Nguia Beina Theophile has boosted repair works on the Bangem-Melong road ahead of the launching of campaigns for the October 12, 2025, Presidential elections.

SDO Nguia accompanied by his close collaborators descended to the field on September 26 and 27, 2025, to evaluate the state of repair works on the road, hours to the arrival of political parties in Bangem to launch campaigns.
Addressing the Divisional Delegate of Public Works, Kupe Muanenguba, Shu Renny, and workers on the road, the SDO told them to throw laterite on impassable spots and ensure that gutters are created for free passage of running water.
He regretted that the contracting firm working on the road has not been doing a good job.
From one dilapidated spot to another on the road, Nguia cautioned the Public Works delegate and team to throw more laterite and proposed adjustments where necessary.
The Public Works Delegate appreciated the SDO and entourage for the road visit. He said they have already deposited close to thirty trucks of laterite on the road to make it passable for users.

He revealed that the Bangem-Melong road is under rehabilitation by a contracting firm.
However, Shu explained that though the contractor working on the road is on a technical break, SDO Nguia brought him to repair the bad spots on the 32 Km stretch of road, in collaboration with the Divisional Delegation of Public Works, Kupe Muanenguba.
