The Cameroon English Language Newspaper Publishers Association, CENPA, has honoured Agroproduce Management Services Limited, AMS Ltd, as the Farmers Empowerment Champion for 2024.

During the CENPA Award 2025 at the Buea Mountain Hotel on July 5, the Cameroon Country Manager of the institution, Etake Divine Ngaaje, received an award in recognition of sustained empowerment of cocoa farmers through regular payment of enticing premiums.
Staff and Management of AMS Ltd joined their boss to celebrate another award for their consistency in touching the lives of cocoa farmers in Cameroon.

Speaking to the press, Etake detailed that their success story for 2024 ranked them high for promptly paying over FCFA 905.000.000 (nine hundred and five million) to 10,281 farmers as premiums for the production of quality cocoa beans.

He said since 2011, they have offered certification to over 10.000 farmers, paid some FCFA five billion for over 100.000 tons of cocoa.
“In this light, I dedicate this award to farmers, and our team for consistency, availability, devotion towards farming communities.” He disclosed.

The Country Director further explained that their secret has always been to transform the minds of farmers in Cameroon from a subsistence to a business mindset.

He said they offer certification programs to help farmers establish good agricultural, environmental, social, and business practices. “This is the vision of AMS Ltd in Cameroon.”
According to Etake, the CENPA award is a motivational factor to enable them expand their vision within farming communities, ensuring all farmers are part of the project.

He said the recognition will stir them up for more projects in the field and in the cocoa industry of Cameroon.

The president of CENPA, Ngah Christian, president of the award jury, Barrister Christopher Tiku Tambe, and the secretary of the jury, Barrister Nkongho Agbor Felix, jointly signed the award.
