The Bangem-Nguti road construction project represents significant infrastructure investment that will ripple through local and divisional economies. The local communities of the Nguti sub division and Kupe Muanenguba at large have to take advantage of the economic boost that this road infrastructure is about to bring in the division.
The economic implications will extend far beyond the immediate construction phase, creating lasting changes in the divisional development patterns and economic opportunities for our people,
On the immediate effects though, we are expecting to see an immediate surge in local employment opportunities.
It would be nice to see our youths with engineering, machine operators, support staff, surveyors, quality control laboratory technicians, and various technicians taking advantage of the employment opportunities at their door steps.
Beyond direct employment, the construction phase would drive demand for local services such as; hotels, restaurants, transportation services and local businesses that is expected to see a significant rise in demand during this phase of the project.

The long term economic benefits with the completion of the Bangem-Nguti road is expected to deliver lasting economic advantages to the communities, by improved connectivity, reduced transportation cost for businesses, thus reducing cost price for goods and services, and enabling more efficient supply chain operations and expanding market access. The completion of this road will see a rise in the construction of modest homes, and development along the Bangem-Nguti road, which is also expected to attract new commercial development along the road and a shift in population within that area.
One thing that will be immediately felt will be the travel time from Bangem to Nguti and vise versa. There has been a major problem in the connection between Nguti and Bangem by road. This project is a dream come true, that we can finally see this happening in our time.
This project represents a complex economic catalyst that would transform local and divisional economies. Kupe Muanenguba division will see a significant change in its economy once this project is completed. We thank the Head of State, President Paul Biya for this project.
While some challenges may arise during the construction phases of projects of this magnitude, it would be a delight to see the villages where this major road passes through and environ, support and cooperate with the engineers to facilitate their job. The success of this project also requires strong community engagement.
