TERFEL Foundation has empowered over twenty five single mothers of Etam village, Tombel Sub Division, Kupe Muanenguba on mental and emotional wellbeing.

The one-day workshop took place recently at Etam under the theme, “Mums on the Rise: Unlocking Potentials, Unleashing Possibilities.”

Some of the modules handles in the workshop include; Identification of single mothers and the significance of empowering single mothers, challenges faced by 21st century single mothers and raising 21st century children, strategies to overcome the challenges, group discussions and sharing of individual experiences.

At the end of the training, the empowered single mums pledged to be good and better mothers, be spiritual intercessors for their families, make out time for their children, empower themselves financially through hard work, be community builders, amongst others.

Donation to Vulnerable
Earlier on March 6, 2025, the Foundation in collaboration with the women’s wing of the Kupe Muanenguba III Section of the CPDM party, supported twenty five vulnerable persons in Tombel with food and laundry items.

The activity started with singing of spiritual songs, prayers and outlining the objectives of the meeting by the donors and sharing of packages to beneficiaries.

Support to Female Football Tournament
Meanwhile on March 7, 2025, TERFEL Foundation sponsored a football tournament to mark the celebrations of the International Women’s Day in Tombel.

At the end of the competition which has as theme, “ Supporting Sports for Social Cohesion and Peace – 4th Edition,” cash prizes and a trophies were donated to winners of the tournament.

Speaking to The Ultimate, the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Dr. Felicia Ngome said her organization has been supporting female football tournament in Tombel for four years. She was elated that in the football tournament, over 1000 women were touched directly and indirectly.
Dr. Ngome added that some women also came with edible items for sale during the competition. “The excitement from spectators was a source of relaxation and stress reliever. It was a sort of self-care for the women.” She disclosed.
The CEO was equally happy to be a community builder especially for single mothers and vulnerable persons. She promised that as God grants her the means, she will continue to empower women and less privileged in communities.
