The Message
In his homily at the church service, Rev. Njuh Fang Terence of PC Muaku, preached on the theme, “Family is Gold”, reading from Genesis 13: 5-11, from the Holy Bible.
He said God created us to love one another and to maintain good relationship with one another. He said Abraham and Lot had conflict over limited pasture which could destroy their relationship. The pastor said `Abraham valued family tides over greed by taking the lower position which enabled them to separate peacefully.
Rev. Fang described Lot as a greedy nephew who should have refused the proposal from his uncle Abraham. “Many people have soiled their hands, betrayed and killed others because of greed and material possession. Desire family over silver and gold”. He added.
He described Sango Etime as ancestor who lived a good live and lauded Mama Mesode for always praying for her children, ensuring that her family live in peace.
The message was followed by a donation of hymn books to PC Ebonemin by the Etime’s family.
While receiving the materials, Rev. Dr. Elangwe Namaya, Presbyterial Secretary for Bakossi North Presbytery and Parish Pastor of PC Bangem, appreciated the Etime’s family for providing them with vital church materials. He pleaded with other elite to always donate to the church to enable Christians fully engaged during church services.
