The Cameroon Centre for Peace, Research and Initiative, CAMPEACI and Government Secondary School, GSS Muebah-Nninong, are set to celebrate the 34th edition of the day of the African Child.
The ceremony that has been programmed for June 16, 2024 will take place under the theme, “Education for All Children in Africa: The Time is Now”, at the Summa Cum Laude Information and Learning Centre, Ekol-Muebah-Nninong.
Speaking to The Ultimate, the Coordinator and Co-founder of CAMPEACI, A. D. Esembeson Abesum disclosed that they are organizing a thanksgiving service at Presbyterian Church, PC Muebah Parish to thank God for divine protection over all the children of Nninong clan.
She disclosed that from the church, they will process to the Summa Cum Laude Information and Learning Centre, Ekol-Muebah-Nninong for the rest of the ceremony.
Abesum intimated that some of the prizes that will be awarded to students include; CAMPEACI’s Prize of Excellence to the best all round student in every school, Award of High Commissioner Philip Ngole’s prize to the best female student in every school.
She disclosed that HRH Kion-Mbah shall award a prize to the best teacher in every school, while Dr. Etime will award a prize to the most disciplined pupil in primary schools.
Also, the CAMPEACI Coordinator disclosed that there will be an award of Inspector Ajang Hilary’s Prize for best Science Students in GSS Muebah and the award of Summa Cum Laude Centre to the best all round participant.
She equally mentioned the award of the Abe Abwe Diabe’s Prize of Excellence to the best four in all nursery schools in Muebah-Nninong.
Meanwhile, the Principal of GSS Muebah, Nhon Enongene Joseph said besides prize awards, there will be quizzes, cultural and ballet dances, a lecture by the Divisional Delegate of Basic Education, Kupe Muanenguba, amongst other activities.
