The Senior Divisional Officer, SDO of Kupe Muanenguba, Mungambo Ekema William has congratulated the population of the division for successfully celebrating of the 52nd National Day on May 20, 2024.
The SDO was speaking to the press at Paul Biya’s Stadium Bangem at the end of commemorative activities of the National Day.
“Today has been so successful. I am delighted with the massive turn out of the population of Kupe Muanenguba. This day is very important to the history of Cameroon. The massive turn out is proof of their celebration of Cameroon’s rich historical, cultural and linguistic diversity. This is prove that Cameroon is one and indivisible”. He disclosed.
Mungambo encouraged the population of Bangem in particular and Kupe Muanenguba in general to continue to support the state and should not listen to promoters of disorder.
“As we are approaching an electoral year, there should be peace and serenity.” He added.
Meanwhile the Member of Parliament for Kupe Muanenguba I and III, Hon Cecilia Dione Epienjume was elated that Kupe Muanenguba is breaking new grounds in terms of peace, unity and love. She said this is evident in the massive turnout of pupils, students, groups, political parties and the entire population to celebrate this day.
Some of the activities that took place during the celebration include a military parade, award of medals, march past by schools, youth groups and associations.
The CPDM party was the dominant political party with massive participation by the three wings of the party, headed by Mesumbe Ambrose, the Section President.
The Cameroon National Salvation Front, FSNC, also participated in the march past headed by the South West Regional Coordinator, Nnange Calvis Nkumbe.
About fifteen traditional dances animated the ceremony.
