The Senior Divisional Officer, SDO of Kupe Muanenguba, Mungambo Ekema William has commissioned the new Divisional Officer of Bangem Sub Division, Dairou Saly to bring lasting solutions to land disputes, in his area of command.
The SDO was speaking on February 2, 2024 during the installation ceremony of the new DO at Paul Biya’s Stadium, Bangem.
He told the DO to render justice without fear or favour, avoid delayed judgment thereof and to speed up consultative talks still pending in some chiefdoms.
Mungambo said Bangem Sub Division has its specificities and instructed Dairou to consolidate peace, tranquility and the loyalty of the population towards the state by permanently preventing the breach of peace and insecurity in all forms.
The SDO further instructed the new administrator to recover public revenue, fight against tax evasion both at the level of the state and the council, and revamp the campaign for hygiene and sanitation.
“Mr. incoming Divisional Officer, as you prepare to take command in a short while, this sub division is endowed with enormous human, economic resources with a rich sub soil whose population is eagerly awaiting the realization of several projects such as the Bangem-Nguti road project, the industrial plant for the transformation of plantain. You must be highly alert and aware that these projects and many more are expected to produce significant benefits to the population in various domains. These sensitive projects require an atmosphere of peace, social cohesion, social justice and mutual respect between the diverse components of its highly cosmopolitan population.” The SDO cautioned.
“You should not allow yourself to be taken hostage by individuals or groups of people. Spare no effort to achieve the missions prescribed to you.” He added.
To the population of Bangem Sub Division, Mungambo told them to make good use of the new DO such that he will become an asset to their development endeavours and not an instrument in their pursuit of political leadership and settlement of petty scores.
Outgoing DO
The SDO also bid farewell to Felix Kanga, outgoing DO of the sub division who has spent ten years as first assistant SDO and DO of Bangem Sub Division.
He said Kanga shall be remembered in his efforts in the preservation and promotion of peace, his determination to ensure the respect of law and order as well as fight against terrorism and criminality, his high sense of duty consciousness, hard work, assiduous and commitment to serve his fatherland.
He added that it is as a result of his loyal services that the Head of State has renewed his confidence on Kanga by appointing him DO of Obala Sub Division, Lekie Division in the Centre Region.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Mayor of Bangem Council, Ekungwe Kang Christopher outlined the great achievements of Kanga disclosing that he will be greatly missed. While welcoming the new DO, he said Bangem Sub Division is made up of nine clans and thirty six villages.
Ekungwe added that the sub division is blessed to have him based on his rich experience.
Biography
Dairou was born on the 10th of October 1981 at Ray-Bouba, North Region. From 1994 to 1995, he attended the Ray-Bouba Primary school where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. From 1998 to 1999, he attended Government Bilingual High School Ray-Bouba where he obtained his GCE Ordinary Level and subsequently, Baccalaureate certificate, 2001 to 2002 from the same institution.
From 2004 to 2006, he attended the University of Ngoundere and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, and from 2006 to 2007, he obtained a Master Degree in Fundamental Law from the University of Ngoundere.
From 2012 to 2014, he attended the National School of Administration and Magistracy, ENAM and obtained a diploma in General Administration.
Mungambo revealed that these certificates and diplomas enabled him to serve as follows;
From 2015 to 2017, he served as Assistant Sub Prefect in the Elig-Mfomo Sub Division, Lekie Division. From 2017 to 2020, he served as Second Assistant SDO for Eseka in the Nyong and Kelle Division, Centre Region.
From 2018 to 2020, he served as Interim Assistant Divisional Officer in the following sub divisions; Bot-Makak, Messondo, Biyouhs and Nguibassal in the Nyong and Kelle Division of the Center Region. From December 2020 to January 2024, he served as the Sub Prefect of Bibey, Upper Sanaga, Centre Region until his appointment on the 18th of January 2024 at DO of Bangem Sub Division.
