Women in Cameroon are mobilizing for the Commonwealth Women’s Network, CWN, Conference billed for Aberdeen, Sierra Leone, from the 16th to the 18th of April 2024, under the theme, “Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology for Economic Empowerment.”
Organized by Commonwealth Women’s Network African Region in partnership with Commonwealth Business Women Network and the Government of Sierra Leone, the conference shall be hosted by Women Social Entrepreneurs and Education Development, WSEED.
According to HRH Prince Tamwo Kuate Edgard Rostand, African Continent Commonwealth Women’s Network Board of Governors President, they are expecting 1000 participants in Sierra Leone.
He said participants shall come from administrative services, financial organizations, policy practitioners, academia, civil society, private sector, continent and global networks.
Prince Tamwo added that the Sierra Leone conference will be convened in a physical and virtual platform. He said the summit format will include plenary, hubs, break-away sessions, artist displays, comedy, Gender Based Violence, GBV football tournament, fashion showcase and tour.
The Board of Governors President also disclosed that several keynote speakers have been invited to set the tone for the deliberations throughout the conference.
It should be noted that on the 6th of January 2024, the Ordinary General Assembly of the Commonwealth Women’s Network took place at the Douala City Council hall in Akwa.

Aisha Nziengam, 2nd Counselor, Prof. Elizabeth Vukeh epse Tamajong, Special Adviser, Comfort Kumfa, Gender and Development Office, Dr. Zinka Diane and Technical Adviser, Prof. Fundoh Atanga Magdalene.
