Nine police officers in Kupe Muanenguba Division, South West Region promoted by the Head of State, H.E. President Paul Biya, have received epaulets.
The solemn ceremony took place on the 30th of January 2024 in Bangem under the auspices of the Senior Divisional Officer of Kupe Muanenguba, Mungambo Ekema William.
The newly promoted officers include; Second Grade Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sube Gabriel Kome from Tombel, three Senior Inspector of Police viz; Ayamba Franklin Egbe, Bemene Lucien and Ottou Cosmas from Bangem.
Also, Souanguigue Patrice from Bangem and Oumarou Sanda from Tombel were raised to the rank of Senior Police Constables.
Meanwhile, Abeng Steeven from Bangem, Defo Emmanuel from Bangem and Ladibe Marvel Noel from Tombel were lifted to the rank of Second Grade Police Constable.
While affixing the epaulets to the promoted officers, Mungambo congratulated them for their consistent show of patriotism through hard work and dedication that has earned them promotion.
He called on others police officers to copy their example through relentless and selfless services to the division in particular and Cameroon in general.
Speaking to The Ultimate, newly promoted Senior Inspector of Police Bemene Lucien, was elated with his promotion. He appreciated God and his hierarchy for deeming him fit for a new rank in service.
Bemene promised to work sacrificially at all times whenever and wherever duty calls.
The Commissioner of Police, Bangem, Elvis Musenja thanked the Almighty God for the opportunity and grace for them to meet in service in Bangem.
“As Head of Unit, I am happy to see my collaborators and my elements celebrating their advancement in grades. This is the reward of their discipline and hard work in the division.” He disclosed.
Musenja encouraged all the police civil servants working in Kupe Muanenguba Division to continue giving their best in the field and the Head of State will also be available to compensate their efforts like the case of today.
Present at the ceremony was the outgoing Divisional Officer of Bangem Sub Division, Kanga Felix, the first Deputy Mayor of Bangem Council, Enongenepie Manga, State Counsels of the Court of First Instance Bangem and the High Court of Kupe Muanenguba, other dignitaries, family members and friends of the newly promoted.
