Nhia Football Association, NHIAFOOT, of Nhia Clan,Bangem Sub Division, has partnered with the Bangem Council to bulldoze their stadium located in Muabi village. Work at the stadium which is 120 metres by 90 meters, start-ed recently and it is envisaged that upon completion, the com-plex shall have a dressing rooms for players, a restaurant, bar and toilets.
The president of NHIAFOOT Mbong Enongene Felix said the aim of constructing a stadium at Muabi is to promote football and sporting activities within the clan and Cameroon as a whole.
He said during third term holidays,they organised marathon competitions, men and women soccer and the out-put has been great.
Enongene continued that with this motivation to promote sports within the clan, their focus is to develop local talents and to see their sons and daugh-ters participate in national and international competitions.
The president said they plan to organise fundraising for Nhia sons and daughters at home and abroad for the realisation of the project.
The NHIAFOOT President told The Ultimate that he envis-aged a stadium where people will be coming from every part of Cameroon to watch football and other sports activities in their stadium.
