The Association for Sustainable Development Mutengene, ASDEM has donated new hospital beds and mattresses to the Sub-divisional medicalized center (CMA),Mutengene.
The 30 mins brief donation ceremony took place at the maternity premises on June 2nd.
In a speech delivered by the President of ASDEM, Fossem Mathias, the didactic material handed over to the hospital is a product of but one of the many projects still underway for the hospital and Mutengene as a whole. Mr Fossem refuted the old adage “ nothing good can come from Mutengene” assuring invitees that the popularly called “Cham City” has vibrant, fine breed of persons who are willing to do the necessary sacrifices to ensure the growth of Mutengene.
Honoring the handing over ceremony and also, standing as a member of ASDEM; Honorable Fritz Ngeka Etoke applauded the efforts of the organization to ensure community development. In a further statement, Honorable Etoke, made certain that most projects of ASDEM will focus on Health and Education as those are priorities.
Dr Kekay Krystel, Chief Medical Officer of CMA, expressed gratitude to the members of ASDEM on behalf of herself and her team. The Doctor noted that, the new beds and mattresses will solve the problem of shortage of hospital beds and assist in providing better quality health care to patients within and out of Mutengene.
However, Dr Kekay hoped that the next project will take place soon as they are experiencing a problem of “space”.
The plea of the Doctor was very much taken into consideration as the ASDEM team demonstrated an underlying plan to build a solidarity ward. An action that will go a long way to curbing that problem.
ASDEM is a non-profit organization made up of elites of Mutengene which have as aim to promote community development and improve living conditions of the people of Mutengene.
