The Vision bearer of the Fako Promote, a recently launched online news website; Hon. Fritz Ngeka Etoke has contributed to the one man, one lamp vision of the light up Fako Project by donating 20 poles/ solar lamps worth FCFA 1 Million to support the project of illuminating Fako and reducing insecurity.
Honourable Ngeka made the gesture this Saturday April 22 2023 during the charity fundraiser organized by the light up Fako team wherein sons and daughters of Fako came together to support the vision of Dr. Molua Smith Becke, the vision bearer of the light up Fako project.
In his succinct address, Hon. Ngeka who was the Vice Chair of the charity fundraiser said the one man one lamp project is a brilliant initiative which needs the total support of everyone in Fako and beyond. He promised his unwavering support towards the light up Fako project.
“We must start from somewhere. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. We have started from Fako with baby steps and gradually we shall get there”. He pleaded with all who had taken pledges to keep to their words so together they could illuminate Fako and make Fako a better place.
Created in April 2023, Fako Promote is an online news platform which seeks to tell the truth, support community development and promote living together and social cohesion. The platform will focus on news in Cameroon with a special lens on activities in Fako.
