The Bishops of Cameroon have said peaceful dialogue is the only way to solve conflicts in turbulent times.
Archbishop Andrew Nkea, President of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon joined his voice with the other Bishops to make the remark this Tuesday April 18, 2023 as they met for the seminar of Bishops in Yaounde.
The Prelate highlighted the importance of peace in nation building which has been perturbed in recent years by the sociopolitical crisis in the North West and South West regions.
He, however, recognized the return to normalcy the two regions are experiencing and called on all to support this path and pray for the complete return of peace in the two restive regions of Cameroon.
Archbishop Andrew Nkea also spoke of the social hardships the people and the country are going through.
He called the recent increase in the prices of basic necessities a social malaise which renders life difficult.
The Archbishop prescribed the love for one another in order to navigate through life’s challenges.
This session of the Episcopal Conference of Cameroon will focus on examining the works of the fourteen commissions of the structure and also discuss issues plaguing the christian community.
