The Senior Divisional Officer, SDO of Kupe Muanenguba, South West Region, Nguia Beina Theophile has banned unscrupulous contractors from the division.

This was revealed on September 19, 2025, during the divisional monthly consultation meeting for the smooth execution of the 2025 Public Investment Projects PIP.
In his remarks, Nguia stated that it has come to his notice that many contractors in the division abandon contracts after collecting money from the state.

He said while the state releases budget yearly to accelerate development in communities, contractors are dragging the name of the government to the mud, leaving the population in tears and suffering.
He said by abandoning projects, they are causing communities to be angry with the government.

The SDO instructed all state engineers in the division to submit a comprehensive list of all contractors who have abandoned projects.
“Let me make it clear that it is game over for them. None of these contractors will ever be awarded contracts in this division again. They can come to Kupe Muanenguba as visitors and tourists but not as contractors”. He pointed.

“Any collaborator that will help contractors violate this order will be in serious trouble with me. Any engineer or vote holder that will be an accomplice shall face the law. We should all be careful with the management of state funds. I once sent a traditional ruler to jail for six months. Ask about me very well”. He added.
The Kupe Muanenguba Administrative Boss further disclosed that irrespective of whether they tag him as a good or bad SDO, he takes decisions in line with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Cameroon, as a Christian, and with his conscience.
“I am here to work for Kupe Muanenguba and to ensure that the population is happy with what the government is doing for them. I am here to do my job”. He added.
The SDO called on various councils to speed up work for 100 percent realization for all projects by November 30, the close of the financial year.
He said this will enable them win FCFA 50 million from MINEPAT.

At the end of the meeting, the Divisional Delegate of Economy, Planning, and Regional Development, MINEPAT Kupe Muanenguba, Ntoi Eugene read that Nguti Council tops the execution rate of the division with 71.93 percent physical execution and 6.27 percent financial execution for its 13 projects.
