The Divisional Delegate of Secondary Education, MINESEC Kupe Muanenguba, Njikang Peter Mejame has awarded outstanding principals of the division for their excellent performances at the 2025 session of end of course examinations.
The award ceremony took place during the First Kupe Muanenguba Secondary Education Functional Conference for the 2025/2026 academic year, on September 12, 2025, at the Bangem Council Hall.
In his technical presentation, Njikang disclosed that the conduct and performance of the 2025 session of end of course examinations largely commend itself to admiration.
Njikang Peter Mejame, DD MINESEC K/M Addressing Principals“In quantity and quality, there was marked improvement in the total number of candidates for the nine examinations. 1598 registered, 1559 wrote, 1020 passed, giving 65.42 percent, compared to 52.69 percent the previous year. This gives an increase of 12.73 percent”. The delegate disclosed.

He revealed that out of the 46 schools in the division, he decided to recognize 14 principals for the outstanding performance of their students in the June 2025 session of the end of course examinations.
The recognized principals include; the principals of Etam Comprehensive Secondary School, ECSS Etam, Regina Coeli Comprehensive High School, RCCHS Tombel, Government High School, GHS Nyasoso, Government Secondary School, GSS Muebah-Nninong, Government Bilingual High School, GBHS Bangem, Albright High School, Tombel, GHS Ngusi, GBHS Muambong, Oxford Academic Complex, OAC Tombel, GHS Ebonji, Tombel, Ave Maria College, Bangem, GSS Ngobenyoe, Government Technical High School, GTHS Tombel, and GBHS Tombel.
While handing the award to the principals, the Senior Divisional Officer of Kupe Muanenguba, Nguia Beina Theophile congratulated the laureates and encouraged them to perform better in the next session of examinations.
The SDO equally called on the principals of other schools to emulate the example of the outstanding performance of the laureates and do better this academic year.
In his launching speech, Nguia cautioned principals to ensure schools are effective on Mondays, pay attention to quantitative and qualitative coverage of the syllabus, avoid corrupt practices in the school milieu, use judiciously money allocated to acquire digital tools in their institutions, amongst others.

The Principal of AVEMACOL Bangem, Rev Sister Zuo Evelyn Che said she is overwhelmed with joy with the certificate of excellence from the Divisional Delegate of Secondary Education, Kupe Muanenguba. She appreciated her staff and all those who contributed to the success of her students.

The principal said her vision for next academic year is to score 100 percent at the end of course examinations.
Meanwhile the principal of GBHS Tombel, Sobe Emmanuel lauded the administration for recognizing their outstanding results last academic year. He said this is a boaster for them to perform better this academic year.

Also, in the course of the conference, the social arm of the principals’ union handed financial packages to principals who have gone on retirement, and those transferred to other schools out of the division.

Various presentations at the event centered on orientation by divisional delegate, strategies for effective discipline in schools, school head and effective collaboration, management of personnel, participation in the MINESEC cup, strategies towards the improvement of in quality and punctuality in the treatment of and dispatch of periodic documents, private secondary education and effective collaboration with hierarchy, amongst others.
Other activities that took place at the conference include welcome address by the Mayor of Bangem Council, introduction of newly appointed principals, official launching of the academic year by the SDO, presentation of resolutions by commissions, orientation from hierarchy, participants’ impression and vote of thanks.
