Boog Calvin Junior has taken command as the new Divisional Officer, DO of Nguti Subdivision, Kupe Muanenguba Division, South West Region.

The installation ceremony conducted by the Senior Divisional Officer, SDO of Kupe Muanenguba, Nguia Beina Théophile, took place at the Nguti Municipal Grandstand on August 12, 2025.

While commissioning the new DO into office, Nguia urged him to represent the state in all domains of civil life and in court.
He told the divisional officer to ensure the maintenance of law and order in the subdivision, control and coordinate activities of the public service, and to fight against tax evasion.
The SDO also told Boog to improve on hygiene and sanitation in his subdivision, fight against ghost town especially on Mondays, fight against the illicit sale of state and national land, ensure effective school resumption for the 2025/2026 academic year, and also ensure that the mayor and staff return and reside in Nguti municipality.

To the outgoing DO, Etengene Kelvin Oben, Nguia appreciated him for successfully accomplishing his mission within his six years rule in Nguti Sub Division.

He credited the DO for safeguarding peace and social cohesion amongst the population, for the promotion and socio- economic development of the subdivision and wished him success in his future duties.

Earlier, the Mayor of the Nguti Council, Tong George Enoh welcomed Boog and urged him to walk in the footsteps of his predecessor.

He applauded the outgoing DO for his composure, sense of diligence and professionalism, and his ever readiness to stand by the truth.

Mayor Tong mentioned that Oben will be remembered for his active role to the return of peace and normalcy in the municipality.

Boog Calvin Junior was born on the 10th of June 1984 in the Center Region. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Yaounde II, Soa. He is a graduate from the National Advance School of Administration and Magistracy, ENAM.
Boog has served the public service as administrative support staff, chief of cabinet at the governor’s office, South Region, First Assistant SDO, amongst others.
