The Ekanjume’s Foundation has donated school needs and didactic materials to pupils of Government Practicing School, GPS, Nteho II, Bangem Sub Division.

The donation ceremony took place on July 26, 2025, at the Nteho II Community Hall.
Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Esuh Nnoko Jaqueline nee Ekanjume said their foundation was created in memory of their father, Ekanjume Alexander, who was a teacher and very passionate about education.

Esuh stated that by donating school needs to kids of the village was their own way of promoting and enhancing education in Bangem Sub Division.
She congratulated the children for the good results recorded last academic year, and encouraged them to study extremely hard this year because the foundation is ready to support excelling children of Nteho II to prominence.

Speaking to The Ultimate, the donors’ representation further disclosed that considering the dare need of teachers at GPS Nteho II, the foundation employed two PTA teachers for the school since last academic year.

She said besides Nteho II, they plan to extend their largess to other villages in the subdivision.
Esuh revealed that Ekanjume’s Foundation is a non-governmental and non-political organization, made up of family members with a vision to help and empower communities.

Appreciation
Earlier in his welcome address, the Regent of the village, Ebong Joseph Ekane said they are excited to receive books from the foundation.

“We are very happy with the foundation for assisting us with school needs of our children. We pray for God’s blessings on the donors.” He added.
Ekane pleaded with the Inspectorate of Basic Education, Bangem to listen to the cry of Nteho II population, and send teachers to their school.

While pleading on the government to build more classrooms at GPS Nteho II, he lauded the foundation for placing two teachers on their payroll since last academic year.
On his part, Ngale Valentine of Nteho II, a parent, thanked Ekanjume’s Foundation for returning home to empower children who are future leaders of the country.

He pleaded with other elite to emulate this example so that collectively, they advance the development of the village.
While receiving the consignment of books and school bags from the foundation, one of the teachers of GPS Nteho II, Nkwelle Ngole Casmir, appreciated the gesture from the foundation, which he said will go a long way to improve the performance of his pupils.

Pupils React
One of the pupils, Anyang Sume McHope thanked Ekanjume’s Foundation for blessing them with school needs. “I am very happy to receive the gifts today.” Herevealed

Also, Ndene Wisdom, a Class Six pupil prayed for God’s continuous supply on the Ekanjumes so that they will meet the needs of the less privileged in the society.
