The one day training took place at the Sango Mabiba Centre, Ekol-Muebah on March 6, 2025 under the theme, “Accelerating Action on Women’s Economic Emancipation Workshop with Women and Girl’s Leaders in Nninong on Marketable Skills Development and Micro-Savings Management”. The workshop had the financial support of the Ephraim Abwe Diabe Platforms of Excellence (EAD-PFE).

In a virtual address at the ‘American Corner’ of the Center, the Community Volunteer-in-Chief and Promoter of SCL-ILRC, Dr. Ephriam Abwe Diabe welcomed Nninong women to the workshop.
He said within the framework of the International Women’s Day Nninong 2025 and considering the theme of this year, it is the third aspect of the mission statement of Summa Cum Laude, promoting community transformations.

He said women have important role to play especially in a clan like Nninong where three quarter of the population is made up of women and girls.
According to Dr. Abwe Diabe, in order to play this cardinal role, women must be empowered to develop new skills.
He disclosed that it is for this reason that together with his wife and within the framework of EAD-PFE and partners, they decided to equip women with life changing skills.
“Every woman must claim her empowerment through consistency and savings in their businesses and all what you do”. He cautioned.
In the training proper, Manjo Lydia Kinyuy, a teacher of Government Secondary School Muebah-Nnining talked on ‘Women at the Center of Peace Building’. Rev. Tangyie Ndoh Neville of Presbyterian Church Muebah schooled the women on Micro savings, while Ahone Bea-Anna Kelly in her practical session, drilled the women on the production of cakes and pastries.
