Muebah-Nninong was the host village for hundreds of learners, sons and daughters, elite of the 10 villages of Nninong clan, as they celebrate the 59th Youth Day on the 11th of February 2025, under the theme, “Youth, Maturity and Responsibility for the Consolidation of Peace, Security, Economic Growth and the Democratic Process”.
Being their maiden celebration as a Sub Centre, from Muekan, Elum, Epenebel. Nkack, Ebonemin, Muanjeken, Ekambode and Muebah, the highly animated day started with a battery of motorbike riders receiving the Divisional Officer of Bangem Sub Division, Dairou Saly and entourage at Nkack-Nninong, leading the convoy to the esplanade of the celebration at Muebah-Nninong.

The Divisional Officer was received by the Deputy Mayor of Bangem Council, Enongenepie Manga, the Principal of Government School Muebah, Joseph Alobwede Enongene, the Clan Head of Nninong, HRM Chief Ekwelle Makoge and elite of Nninong.
After dignitaries received the DO at the grandstand, this was followed by the singing of the national anthem, prayers by Rev. Ndoh Neville of the Presbyterian Church Muebah-Nninong Parish.
The rebroadcast of the President’s Speech to the youths was received with attention by the crowd at the grandstand and this paved the way for march past by various schools.
The exciting march past started with nursery schools, primary schools, secondary school, professional school, associations and the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement, CPDM as the lone political party that participated in the march past.
After the march past, winners of singing, dancing and ballet competitions displayed their prowess as the jubilant crowd danced and supported them financially.
After a coffee break, a football match pitting Government School Muebah versus Government School Muaku ended with victory for GS Muaku scoring four goals against three for GS Muebah.
Meanwhile results of the youth football encounter was three goals for Muanjeken/Ebonemin FC against one goal for Muebah FC.
The official ceremony ended with award of prizes to winners of various competitions, entertainment and a gala night at Muebah Nninong.
It should be noted that the grandstand was flooded with petty businesses to satisfy the need of the population.
Reactions
Speaking to the press at the end of the ceremony, DO Saly congratulated Nninong population and elite for the massive mobilization to ensure that the event is a success.
He called on the youths of voting age to register with Elections Cameroon, ELECAM to enable them participate in the electoral process.
Principal Enongene of GSS Muebah said as coordinator of the new Sub Center, it was so challenging organizing the various activities. He was grateful to God for the huge success recorded in the maiden edition of the Youth Day Celebration in Nninong.

The President of Nninong Cultural and Development Association, NICDA, Mballe Makoge thanked the administration for offering them a center for the Youth Day celebration.
He said the center will go a long way to reinforce unity and love with Nninong Clan, reminding the people of their common heritage.
Also present at the ceremony was the Vice President of NICDA, Colonel (Rtd) Sone Ajang Joseph, Douala Branch President and Projects Coordinator, NICDA, Dr. Etime Godwill Ajieh, Ngwesse Johnson, President emeritus, NICDA, Nkong Makoge, Adviser, NICDA, Sone Akale Ramsom, Financial Secretary, NICDA, amongst others.
