The South West and Moungo Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) Officer of ENEO, Zita Aliah Awah, has sensitized chiefs of Kupe Muanenguba, South West Region, and other stakeholders on collaborative approach for improved services in the division.
Aliah was speaking at the Kupe Muanenguba Chiefs Conference, KMCC that took place at Bangem Council hall on the 7th and 8th of June 2024.
She educated traditional rulers to avoid illegal connections of electricity and how to get ENEO run safe lines in their villages. She equally talked on the dangers of electricity and cautioned the chiefs on how to identify and report on dangerous situations in their villages.
The Communication Officer equally sensitized the chiefs on the importance of using prepaid meters and how to apply for prepaid and postpaid meters with ease.
At the end of the conference, Aliah created a WhatsApp group with the traditional rulers for day to day communication in order to improve their services in Kupe Muanenguba.
In his word of appreciation, the outgoing president of Kupe Muanenguba Chiefs Conference, Chief Dume Valentine appreciated ENEO team for sensitizing the chiefs on how to improve their services in the division. He hoped this milestone will guarantee permanent electricity in their villages. He pleaded that there are several villages in Kupe Muanenguba without electricity. Dume hoped that with constant exchange on the WhatsApp group ENEO will better serve the people and extend electricity to villages still in blackout.
Besides, Aliah and her team visited the Divisional Delegation of Communication, Kupe Muanenguba. In an exchange with the Delegate, Dr. Olive Ejang Tebug, the ENEO Communications expert talked on their services and how the media in the division can help them accomplish their vision.
Speaking to The Ultimate, the Communications and CRS Officer disclosed that the WhatsApp group will also include all stakeholders in the division for effective communication of their services.
“In the WhatsApp group, we shall give information on our services like planned outages for maintenance, new connections or load shedding and prepaid services”. She added.
According to the Communication and CRS Officer, this daily exchange will also help stakeholders report on fallen poles, sagging cables, blown transformers, low voltage, amongst others.
Before leaving the conference, the ENEO team handed their company’s loin clothes, t-shirts and mugs to the traditional rulers.
