The Member of Parliament for Kupe Muanenguba II, Nguti, Hon Julius Fongouck Fonge, has digitalized six secondary schools in Nguti Sub Division.
This took place during an outreach by the parliamentarian as part of activities to mark the 52nd National Day celebration in Nguti on May 20, 2024.
The MP donated six computers to the schools to advance the digitalization process reechoed by the Minister of Secondary Education.
The beneficiary schools include; Government Technical College, GTC Mungo Ndoh, GTC Nzeletted, Government Secondary School, GSS Bermin, GSS Mbetta, GSS Manyemen, St. Andrew Catholic College, Nguti.
Besides, Hon Fonge also donated three meters sheets of zinc to rehabilitate Government School Ayong.
The MP equally donated cash for the kickoff of work on the Badun Water Catchment Project.
He also handed money to the Divisional Officer of Nguti Sub Division, Etengeneng Kevin Oben, for the rehabilitation of toilets in the guest room of the DO’s residence.
The MP also donated cash to the Nguti Traditional Council.
Meanwhile farmers of Nguti also benefited from the parliamentarian’s largess as he donated 2100 kg of improved cassava stems cuttings to farmers.
While handing the gifts to beneficiaries, the MP was accompanied by the Mayor of Nguti Council, Tong George Enow, Member of the South West Regional House of Assembly for Nguti Constituency Hon. Etame Rosemary Etoh, and the Section President of CPDM Kupe Muanenguba II, Evaristus Eketuoh Ajang.
The recipients thanked the MP for reaching out to them, promising that the gifts will go a long way to advance the development of Nguti Sub Division.
