The Divisional Delegate of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, MINDCAF Kupe Muanenguba, Alphonsius Fonkeng has cautioned the population of the division on abandoned land certificates at his delegation.
Speaking to The Ultimate recently, Fonkeng lamented that since June 2023, 115 visaed files for land certificate are in his office and most applicants have not come to check and collect their land certificates.

“I don’t understand why people will apply for land certificates and once they are out they are reluctant to come for the certificates.
Fonkeng disclosed that he has called some applicants whose contacts are on their documents, but regretted that they are yet to come forth for their land certificates.

The delegate educated that once visaed files are ready, the applicants will just have to pay their taxes and collect their land certificates.
He called on the population of Bangem, Nguti and Tombel Sub Divisions to come and collect their land certificates, disclosing that his office is ready to serve those who wish to obtain land certificates for the protection of their land.

Fonkeng further sensitized on the procedure to obtain land certificates on national land, which involves a first and second phase. He said the first phase includes application file for state land and the second phase being the establishment of a technical file.

Meanwhile he explained that the procedure to obtain land certificate through total transfer also has a first and second phase. He said the first phase constitutes application and technical file for partitioning and the second phase involves the establishment of land certificates.
Fonkeng encouraged the population to come to the delegation for proper sensitization on the various procedures to obtain land certificates.
