The TERFEL-ASBEC Foundation for Gender Development and Peace, TAFGEDEP is strategizing to empower youths and farmers in Tombel Sub Division with skills on Artificial Intelligence, AI.
This will take place in a workshop scheduled for February 28, 2024 in Tombel. The event will be chaired by the Divisional Officer of Tombel Sub Division, Nyam Leonard Njowon, under the theme, “Artificial Intelligence (AI), an Instrument of Empowerment for the Autonomy of Youths.”
Speaking to The Ultimate, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TAFGEDEP, Dr. Ngome nee Felicia Munge Etape disclosed that the workshop is taking place within the context of digitization and youth empowerment for improved standard of living.
She said during the workshop, the following modules will be handled; creative writing with AI, image creation with AI, photo editing with AI, painting with AI, video editing with AI.
Dr. Ngome who doubles as WCPDM Section President of Kupe Muanenguba III, Tombel, said knowledge in creative writing will help youths write standard curriculum vitae, CV, write application letters, do research, write books, produce social media content, amongst others.
She added that farmers can also use this knowledge to build their social media audience for online sales of farm produce.
The CEO called on the youths to massively register for the workshop to gain digital skills from renowned facilitators for their autonomy.
According to Dr. Ngome, by empowering youths and farmers in Tombel, it is her own way to encourage youths and contribute to the development of the municipality.
It should be noted that over the years, TAFGEDEP has focused on improving the digital skills of youths in Tombel. In 2023, the Dr, Ngome led team trained youths and women on ICT and communication skills like communicating online, content and graphics creation with canvas, using Facebook and WhatsApp for Business, leveraging Tiktok, and opportunities available for the digital hard skills.
