The population of Elum, Nninong Clan, Bangem Sub Division is mourning following the death of Mbwoge Shadrack Etone at the age of 81.
Pa Mbwoge, as he was fondly called, was born on July 3, 1943, in Elum-Nninong Bangem and passed away peacefully on February 5, 2024.
Pa Mbwoge was an ardent football enthusiast who served with distinction as the Chairman of the Elum Council for over five years. His tireless dedication was instrumental in the realization of numerous community initiatives, with the construction of the village community hall standing as a testimony to his commitment.
Beyond that, his organizational skills shone brightly as he generously supported two soccer tournaments, investing in the dreams of countless young athletes with contributions exceeding FCFA 10 million.
Pa Mbwoge’s enduring legacy is marked by his loving children and adoring grandchildren, as well as the considerable impact he made to his community.
The cherished presence of Pa Mbwoge Shadrack Etone will be profoundly missed, yet his memory endures in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
The funeral program has been scheduled for the 15th of March 2024 where the mortal remains will be transferred from the Yaounde Central Hospital mortuary to Elum-Nninong, for subsequent vigil and interment on March 16, 2024.
