Christians of Presbyterian Church, PC Bangem have performed miracles at the Bangem Distrist Hospital and at the Gendarmerie Brigade at the end of 21 days prayer and fasting program.
The fasting program started on the 11th of January 2024 and ended on the 3rd of February 2024.
Led by the Parish Pastor, Rev. Eyakwe Joseph Tata Nangunda who doubles as the Presbyterial Secretary for Bakossi North Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, the Christians stormed the hospital, preached and prayed for patients.
While in the hospital, the pastor and his Christians prayed for a lady with prolonged labour case and after their prayers, the baby came forth from the mother’s womb.
Besides praying and preaching the Word of God to the patients, the PCC Christians also donated tablets of soap and bottles of groundnut oil to the patients at the hospital.
From the hospital, the Pastor led his Christians to the Gendarmerie Brigade in Bangem. They preached the message of salvation to detainees and prayed for them. They also donated tablets of soap and groundnut oil to detainees.
Speaking to The Ultimate, Rev Eyakwe disclosed that the objective of the 21 Days Fasting and Prayers for 2024 was to impact the Christians with a solid spiritual foundation for the year. He said it was period to fast and pray for Bangem Sub Division and for individual requests of those who followed the program.
The pastor was optimistic that the fasting program has impacted the spiritual lives of the believers. He said during the program, many lessons were taught like steps to undertake in order to attain spiritual maturity, amongst others.
The man of God added that those who were observing the fasting decided to respect the command in Isaiah 58 which says true fasting is one which identifies with suffering people.
“The patients at the hospital and the detainees were identified as those in this category. Scripture says in Matthew 25:35-40 that, I was hungry, you gave me meat, I was thirsty, you gave me drink, I was in prison and you visited me…..” He added.
Rev. Eyakwe added that the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon PCC does a holistic mission by touching the lives of people with the gospel and meeting them at the point of their needs.
Accompanying the pastor at the evangelism and humanitarian visit to patients and detainees were the Parish Chairman of PC Bangem, Njabe Cletus Ntube and elders of the church.
