It is with a heart of gratitude to God Almighty that I write this New Year Message to all Manyemen sons and daughters at home and abroad.
We give thanks to God for His mercies and compassion that saw us as a people and community through 2023 despite some challenges.
As a people and village, we encountered constraints on several fronts but God being so kind, we have made it to 2024. As the new year opens up, it is my prayer and desire as your traditional ruler that the same God who saw us through 2023 will be more gracious to us this year.
As custodian of tradition, I pray our ancestors and God cause His face to shine upon all Manyemen children across the world. Additionally, we pray for the bonds of unity, peace and love to further gain expression among us as a people and that we will continue to work as one man for the growth and development of Manyemen.
I promise inclusive leadership, openness and solidarity in managing the affairs of our community. It is my fervent wish that, we all collaborate with the administration and state institutions to improve on our well being.
Accept best wishes for the New Year 2024 from me and my wife, Regina Bessong-Esim. May we as a people live every moment of 2024 to the fullest.
