One of the memorable outcomes of the divisional peace tour of Minister Elung Paul was the announcement that, President Paul Biya has approved the tarring of the Bangem-Nguti road.
The stretch he said will link the three subdivisions that make up Kupe-Muanenguba Division and improve on the livelihood of the population.

Nguti Mayor Request For More Security Post
Earlier in his welcome address, the Mayor of Nguti Council, Tong George Enoh regretted that the geo-political position of their municipality renders the sub division very porous. He said while other municipalities are breathing signs of peace, stability and development, they are still wallowing in the shackles of fear and uncertainty because of the activities of the separatists.
The Mayor recounted that Nguti being a red zone, has inflicted untold suffering to both the population and the council.
Amongst other requests, Tong pleaded for the creation of security units around the Ayong area, the Mbo area, the hinterland in Nguti and the Western Bakossi area. He said elite should sponsor an aggressive campaign on school resumption.
The CPDM Section President for Kupe Muanenguba II, Ajang Evaristus described the minister’s visit to Nguti as timely because it shall revive peace and restore their destabilized community, where love will prevail at all times.
The ceremony ended with a motion of support from the population of Nguti Sub Division to President Paul Biya. It was read by Napoleon Nyake Bissong.
