Tombel council has purchase a Front End Loader worth 120 million FCFA to bulldoze and open up streets within the municipality.The Mayor of Tombel Council, Ngassa Rose made the revelation on the 22nd of December 2022, during the Second Ordinary Session dedi-cated to adopt the 2023 draft budget of the council.
She told councilors that the Front End Loader is a great achievement to the council because they will penetrate the nooks and crannies of Tombel, grade streets constantly, open culverts, and ensure cleanliness of the entire town
Ngassa congratulated the councilors for their collabora-tive spirit that has enabled them to acquire the Front End Loader which will con-tribute in transforming the municipality.
“Our roads are bad. Now that we have a tipper, and a front end loader, we are ready for serious work.” She added.
The Mayor also thanked administrative officials of the division for supporting them to the realization of this dream.
Speaking to The Ultimate, the First Deputy Mayor of Tombel Council, Enongene Basil Boly said the acquisition of the Front End Loader is a great achievement to the council.
He added that besides using the equipment to grade and open up streets, the Front end Loader shall be a major source of income for the council.
Enongene said the council shall rent out the equipment to contractors and neighbouring councils as well. He said this will enable the council to generate finances that will help in other developmental projects in the municipality.
The Senior Divisional Officer for Kupe Muanenguba, Mungambo Ekema William con-gratulated the Mayor and Councilors for this achievement. He said this is a good example for other councils to emulate.
