At the end of an extraordinary session of the company’s board of directors held on June 26, 2023 in Yaoundé, Amine Homman, until then DGA, was appointed to replace, with immediate effect, Patrick Eeckelers, who resigned.
Patrick Eeckelers joined Eneo in January 2022 as Special Councillor before being appointed Deputy Director General in March 2022.
During his 18-month mandate, Mr. Eeckelers worked for the signing of a new Collective Agreement and for operational excellence, improving financial management and piloting Eneo’s performance indicators.
“Today, Eneo has a clearer investment vision for the coming years, contributing to the sector’s objectives. With adequate funding and more collaboration with other actors, I believe that the sector will have the capacity to meet the growing electricity needs of households, businesses and industries. I am convinced that the management and staff in place are up to the task, “said Mr. Eeckelers.
Amine Homman Ludiye joined Actis in 2021 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Eneo in charge of Production, before his appointment in 2022 as Director of Eneo.
Energy engineer, a graduate of the École Polytechnique of the University of Nantes, he holds a Master’s degree from the IAE Nancy School of Management and a professional Master’s degree in innovation and new technologies from the École Polytechnique de Paris.
He has nearly 30 years of experience. He began his career in 1995 in France in the IDEX group, a company specialising in energy services and energy efficiency. He held various positions as a project engineer, agency manager and then Regional Director, before joining ENGIE in 2010 as Chief Executive Officer of COFELY in Morocco where he developed energy services and electricity company management activities in North Africa.
In 2015, he was appointed Director General of ENGIE North Africa in charge of the activities of ENGIE (Renewable Energy, Energy Infrastructure and Energy Services) for Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, where he also held various management terms until 2020.
