Rev Kennedy Akwo, a priest from the Mamfe Diocese, Southwest region has resigned from priesthood. Fr Kennedy Akwo who resides in the USA issued his resignation letter to the Bishop of Mamfe, Aloysius Fondong Abangalo, on July 1, 2023, and asked for it to be submitted to Rome. Angry commercial motorcycle riders took to the streets this July 3, 2023 to protest the death of one of theirs which they believe was caused by constant police harassment.
