It is the Ultimate season for rural community powered by The Ultimate Media Group with a focus on rural communities within the discourse of national development and global dynamics.
The Ultimate Media Group in a community development institution with focus on rural communication. It comprises of The Ultimate Newspaper and Ultimate Community Radio and Television Station, the voice of communities.
The Ultimate Media Group sets to bridge the gap of media imbalance of news coverage in urban and rural Cameroon by focusing community news. It comes to set the pace for a new shift in putting the mainstream media at the service of the rural population for greater exposure.
The Ultimate Media Group is determined to create space and project the voices of rural population on issues such as, but not limited to development, climate change, environmental protection, wildlife and biodiversity, education, women empowerment, decentralization, tourism, security and health.
The Ultimate Media Group kicks off from Kupe Muanenguba Division, South West Region, Cameroon. The institution in the coming months and years will have a grip on rural communities nationwide.
The world is fast changing and so too are the needs of rural communities. Through this platform, rural Cameroon will have its space in redefining a bottom-top approach to development.
The people now have their own ultimate voice to play a vital role in development. The dream is big. It is a dream with the local population at the heart of this venture.
It is a vision “For the Community, By the Community.”

Michael Fongwe is the founder of The Ultimate Media Group. He is the sitting Chairman of Rhema Association for Development, RHEMADEV, under whose vision is The Ultimate Media Group hatched. RHEMADEV’s Article 7 stipulates the association’s goal to facilitate access to information. It is on this bearing that The Ultimate Media Group is birthed.
