The South West Chiefs Conference, SWECC has launched preparatory activities ahead of the second edition of the South West Cultural Festival built for December 12 to 14, 2025 in Buea under the theme, “Showcasing Cultural Identity and Consolidating Peace and Entrepreneurial Consciousness.”

This was revealed at a press conference on April 12, 2025 at SWECC’s secretariat in Buea.
Addressing pressmen at the event, the President of the Chiefs’ Conference, HRM Chief Dr. Mokube John Ahmadou disclosed that the cultural jamboree is aimed at bringing peace and empower South Westerners with entrepreneurial skills.
“We want our people to be self-reliant and independent because this will go a long way to reduce crimes in the region.” Chief Mokube disclosed.
Meanwhile the Public Relations Officer, PRO of SWECC, HRM Chief Ebong Pende Divine styled the second edition of the festival as a Christmas gift to South Westerners and Cameroon at large.
He used the press briefing to drum the success story of the first edition of the cultural jamboree and the innovations earmarked for the 2nd edition.

The chief said though there was great mobilization during the first edition, the second edition promises to be a land mark event.
According to the PRO, some of the activities that will feature at the forth coming three days festival include; traditional dances, , fashion parade, gastronomy from all the 6 divisions in the South West, amongst others.
He also reiterated that the second edition and other editions of the festival will hold at Bongo Square, Buea till normalcy returns in the region.
