Friends, relatives and well-wishers joined the Nnane’s family at home and abroad to celebrate the life of Late Christopher Kamerun McNnane aka Bokilo in a thanksgiving and memorial service in Bangem, December 27 and 28 2024.
Late McNnane, eldest son of the Paramount Ruler of Bangem, HRM Chief Nnane Nnoko Emmanuel, who was a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, United States of America, USA, died on the 20th of May 2019 from injuries sustained in a car crash at the age of 52.
In his homily at the memorial service at the Ave Maria Parish Bangem, Father Alain Parfait Enyegue of the Our Lady of Victory Parish, New Bell Douala read from Mathew 2: 13 to 18 in the Holy Bible.
He told worshipers to serve God diligently and be carrier of the Light and the salt of the earth.
Father Enyegue told Christians to be witnesses of God by preaching the good news to everyone in this Christmas season. He prayed for the soul f McNnane to continue resting in the bosom of the Lord.

In his word of appreciation at the end of the service, Chief Nnane thanked all those who came from far and near to honour the life of his late son.
He said for sacrificing other commitments to attend the memorial and thanksgiving service of Late McNnane, God will continue to bless them.
The Paramount Ruler appreciated God for keeping him alive to witness the memorial service of his dear son. “May the soul of McNnane continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord”. He prayed.
From the Memorial Service, Father Enyegue led Christians and guests to the grave of the deceased for blessing.
At the graveside, the Man of God prayed for the graves of all the Nnanes resting in the Lord. he then prayed and sprinkled Holy Water round all the graves.
From the gravesite, the population retreated to the Bangem Council Hall for Refreshment.
Musical Concert
In her welcome address at a musical concert at Darling Home alias Shoppers, Bangem in memory of McNnane, December 27, Irmhild Mbakwop McNnane, the deceased spouse lauded the population for their massive presence at the concert.
She thanked God for the time spent together with her late husband and for God’s sustaining grace upon her life and their kids.
After a minute of silence for her late husband and those resting in the spirit, Irmhild thanked God for his Father in Law, Chief Nnane who is alive to be with them in the thanksgiving service. She prayed God for journey mercies to all who joined them in the celebration.
Musical Concert
Musicians who performed at the concert were Elone Elone, Gentle Val, Njume Loko, Alino Star, Epevier D’or, Njume Ewang, SpacoNgone Tente Dance Group of Bangem and Ewang Dance Group of Ekambeng.
